Residents of Kadjebi in the Oti region, on Wednesday occupied the residence of the DCE of the Area, Wilson Agbanyo in protest of the killing of two young footballers by a joint National Security and COCOBOD Operatives.

Reports say the DCE run for his life upon seeing the enraged Residents marching towards his residence.

The DCE who is currently out of Kadjebi has been speaking to the media from his hide-out saying “everything is under control.

The enchantment by the youth has been brought about following a joint COCOBOD and National Security Operatives’ Vehicle which run over two footballers on a motorbike killing them instantly.

The anti-cocoa smuggling operatives were said to be chasing a taxi loaded with smuggled cocoa beans.

But the youth who are putting the blame at the doorstep of the DCE are demanding his resignation or his removal or face their wrath.

It is not clear whether the DCE is back to his residence and whether or not he would heed to the demands of the youth.
