Operation Recover All Loots Brigade Over-Powers Police and Picket at Finance Ministry
Hundreds of members of Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) Bridade has clashed with the Police overpowering them in the process to picket the Finance Ministry.
The youth are picketing over what they described as unbridled thievery going on within the Akufo Addi/’Bawumia government.
Some of the corruption scandals for which they are picketing include the $34million Service Ghana Auto group also known as the Ambulance scandal, SML, illegal acquisition of Cantonments lands, amongst others.
They held placards which read:
Bawumia a top-tier scam selling our oil and resources
The youth are angry, we need jobs not evil Cathedral
Looting Gang, you’ll not it out
SML Contract, only fraud no work done.
The Convenor of Group Usman Ayariga commended the teeming youth for joining them to picket.
He said their commitment is a testament they are angry over the stealing and looting going in the NPP government.
He said when you catch a thief you beat him and that the only way the NPP can be beaten is by voting them out of power.
“ We are here to demand accountability from the thieves. The Operation recover all Loots has just started.
The Chairman of the economic management team has failed us the youth. The youth don’t have jobs.
In the morning Bawumia is a Christian, in the afternoon he is a Muslim in the evening he is a liar”, Mr. Ayariga who doubles as the NDC Deputy Youth Organizer stressed.
He demanded that the Finance Ministry takes immediate steps to stop the payments and recover payments made for the Ambulance scandal and SML contract.
He hinted that their next demonstration will be at the Jubilee house over the illegal acquisition of state lands.
