Ballot papers have been torn by supporters of Faruk Aliu Mahama and Hajia Shamima during the Yendi primaries over allegations addition of foreign ballot papers into the ballot box.
Supporters of Hajia Shamima are accusing the Constituency Executives of scheming to rig the elections for the son of Former Vice President who is the current MP for Yendi.
The Police and the EC officials are livid watching haplessly as the ballot papers were being torn apart.
Meanwhile, sitting Members of Parliament such as KT Hammond of Asante Akyem, Stephen Amoah of Nhyiaeso, Asenso Boakye of Bantama, Henry Quartey of Ayawaso Central, Ursula Owusu of Ableka West among others have retained their candidature.
