The Chief Executive of the Ghana National Gas Company (Ghana Gas) has disclosed that the company has invested 45 percent of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Fund in education.

He said Ghana Gas has made it a conscious effort to add value to petrol chemical engineering through education adding that all the 16 regions have benefited from their CSR investment via the establishment and expansion of education facilities and e-learning blocks.

Dr. Asante made this disclose in Accra on Wednesday during the 2023 edition of Ghana Gas Challenge.

He said their focus is to develop and equip “our skills in knowledge in gas to contribute to Ghana’s development”.

The CEO later stressed that the Company also prioritizes the knowledge of females in the gas sector.

It is the reason he said the company ensures that Best female contestants in the contest are rewarded separately.

He therefore appealed to contestants to take advantage of the challenge to broaden their knowledge in Gas.

The two day Gas Challenge provides excellent platforms for tertiary institutions to showcase their knowledge in the gas sector after which contesting Schools and Contestants emerging tops will be awarded.
