The Palestinian High Commission in Accra on Wednesday witnessed massive show of love and solidarity from other Embassies over the bombardments in Gaza by Israel

The solidarity which was shown to the Palestinian High Commission as part of a news conference to mark “a day of Solidarity to the Palestinian saw scores of politicians, Diplomats, Islamic Clerics and Students among others thronging the Residence of the Ambassador.

Addressing the teeming solidarity members, the Palestinian Ambassador to Ghana to Ghana & Dean of Arab Diplomatic Mission, Mr. Abdalfatah Ahmed Khalil Alsatarri was full of emotion seeing the massive show of support to the people of Palestine.

He described Israel’s bombardments in Palestine as war crimes against humanity adding that many people have died as a result adding that there would not be peace in the middle East should Israel continue with the atrocities against the innocent civilians.

He revealed that about 14,200 people died including women and children with some losing their hands and legs adding that the unlawful occupation must stop.

He therefore called for a total ceasefire of Israel’s aggressiveness on Palestine stressing that there would be no peace in the middle East should the bombardments continue.

Mr. Khalil Alsatarri expressed his profound gratitude to all the people who came to soliadrize with the Palestinian people saying “long live Palestine”.

The UN Country Representative, Mr. Charles Abani revealed that the UN has led the biggest humanitarian efforts to Gaza since the bombardments.

He said 200 trucks of humanitarian needs were sent to Gaza to support their needs.

He later called for more solidarity for the people of Palestine.

“Let’s us stand in solidarity with the Palestinians to achieve their sovereign and inalienable right”, Mr. Abani said.

The ceremony also saw the Spokesperson of Chief Imam, Sheikh Aremeyaw Saibu and Editor of the Insight Newspaper Mr. Kwesi Pratt Jnr addressing the gathering and calling for cessation of the bombardments and occupation of Gaza by the Israelis.

“There will be no peace in the middle east until the occupation is brought to an end by any means possible”, Mr. Pratt fumed.
