In an emotional and momentous occasion that resonated with hope and gratitude, Honourable Benjamin Ayiku Narteh, Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku constituency, proudly inaugurated the Camp 2 CHPS Compound. The ceremony, graced by the Municipal Health Directorate, district and divisional commander, assembly members, opinion leaders, and community members, marked a significant milestone in the municipality’s commitment to prioritize accessible and quality healthcare for its residents.

During his impassioned speech, Hon. Narteh recounted the challenging journey that led to the inauguration, emphasizing the initial thwarting of the project’s purpose under the current government. He expressed sincere appreciation to all stakeholders, especially the Lekma Health Directorate, for their dedication and unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of the community, which culminated in the realization of this long-awaited dream.

The MP proudly announced the successful acquisition of essential health equipment to furnish the CHPS compound, ensuring its readiness to serve the healthcare needs of the constituents. He further extended heartfelt gratitude to former President John Dramani Mahama, former Member of Parliament Benita Sena Okiti-Duah, and other key individuals who contributed to the fruition of this noble cause.

The Camp 2 CHPS Compound funded from the money accrued from the ten percent (10%) pay cut of former president Mahama and his ministers and other government appointees stands as a testament to the community’s collective determination to prioritize and invest in the health and wellness of its residents. As the facility begins its operation, it symbolizes a beacon of hope and care, reflecting the commitment to providing accessible, effective, and compassionate healthcare to all members of the municipality.
