The Lands Commission has outdoored 5-Year Business Strategic Plan to guide its operations.

The announcement was made by the acting Executive Secretary of the Commission, Mr. Benjamin Arthur at an Annual briefing and Launching of Staff Awards Scheme in Accra.

The Strategic Plan according to the Executive Secretary has five major goals including enhancing the Commission’s financial sustainability, digital reforms and corporate image as well as the competence and discipline of staff to improve service delivery.

“The Commission’s corporate image redemption drive could only succeed if it was associated with improvement in service delivery.

Mr. Arthur advised the staff to make teamwork a priority as it is the surest way of success.

He also called for good working relationship between the staff and management in order to achieve their goals.

Staff Awards Scheme

The Occassion was also used to launch the Lands Commission’s Staff Awards Scheme.

The Executive Secretary explained that staff of the Commission often work around the clock hence the need to motivate them through the Awards Scheme.

In his view, the Awards scheme will serve as a motivation to spur on other staff to do more than they are currently doing.

The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon. Benito Owusu Bio expressed confidence in the leadership of the Commission stressing that it was heading towards the right direction.

“Ghanaians will overwhelmingly vouch for the credibility and efficiency of the Commission sooner or later”, he said.
