The outgoing CEO of MTN, Selorm Adadevoh is being celebrated by Journalists for his transformational leadership and excellence at MTN as CEO of the telecom giant.

He has since been receiving positive accolades from renowned Journalists and media Professionals through mainstream media and social media due to his good sense of humor and great spirit of camaraderie aside his professional acumen as exhibited during his tenure as CEO of the company.

The accolade and reverence extended to him moved to a notch higher during a Forum organized by MTN on Monday (January 29, 2024) to bid farewell to the man under whose leadership MTN made giant strides in the telecom space in Ghana.

Renowned Journalists at the Forum

Views of Journalists sampled by Editor of NewsFlashAfrica.Com , Michael Petit Mawugbe revealed enormous importance attached to him and how colossus he is viewed in the eyes of many.

“Selorm deserves commendation for what he has achieved for MTN over the 5years plus that he was the CEO. I congratulate him for his new role”, Samuel Nii Narko Dowuona of Tech24 said.

“I will remember him for how seamless he communicates technology issues. He actually makes technology and telecom look so easy to understand and that’s one thing that makes him special”, Kofi Ahovi of Business Weekonline.com stressed.

“ My first encounter with him gave me the assurance that he would go far. Down to earth, approachable and always made you feel comfortable when interviewing him”, Jeorge Kingson, Editor of Ghananewsonline said.

The GJA President, Mr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfour on his part said Selorm’s massive support to the media was exceptional.

“ I believe it is the reason Journalists are here today in their numbers to celebrate and bid him farewell. For us as GJA we say thank you to him and wish him well on his new appointment”, he added

Speaking to the media Mr. Adadevoh who attributed the successes chalked to his wonderful team stressed that “I have always felt I have a strategy and Ideas to drive growth”.

He indicated that apart from the fact that he had always positioned himself as a transformational person, he saw the need to accelerate the growth of the telecom giant.

“May be because of my IT background I saw the opportunity to move the business forward”, the respected outgoing CEO recounted.

Touching on challenges emanating from Covid-19, Mr. Adadevoh revealed that he and his team focused more on securing the network of the company whilst adopting to the hybrid working system adding that “If you secure your network you could do a lot on the commercial side”.

Selorm Adadevoh who has been appointed as the new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of MTN Group is credited with 4 times growth in revenue and 6 times growth in profitability making him the only CEO to have chalked such an enviable feat.
