Ghanaian sensation Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s singathon exploit is inching closer to a record break as she continues to sing to the admiration of teeming Ghanaians at the Airport Village.
Afua begun her challenge on Friday 23rd December 2023 and is expected to end on the afternoon of Thursday 28th of December 2023.
It is the expectation of Ghanaians that Afua Asantewaa would be declared as having broken the record.
The current holder of the Guinness Book of Records Singa-thon is Sunil Waghmare, an Indian but the determined, dexterous and ambitious Ghanaian is upbeat to break the record in real time.
Inspite of the negative comments from Akwasi Aboagye and Zapp Mallet about her zeal, she has since, the challenge, received tacit and massive support from Ghanaians and celebrities including Shatta Wale, Lydia Forson Nana Ama Mcbrown, John Dumelo and Asamoah Gyan.
Others include Sarkodie, Vice President Bawumia among others.
Many Ghanaians have wondered how she has been able to endure and progressed smoothly from day one up and until today but experts have explained once you are able to adjust to the non-sleeping system for a day, the remaining non-sleeping days are foregone conclusion as her body would have adjusted to it.
Meanwhile Akwasi Aboagye and Zapp Mallet have received widespread criticism for their “uninspiring and childish comments”.
