The choice of a running mate is as crucial as the election of the Presidential Candidate himself as the latter is required to compliment the work of the Presidential Candidate by marshalling all arsenals in readiness for the onslaught of their opponents.

There has been calls for Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia not to settle on somebody with cataleptic fit or a person who would just be a spare tyre on the automobile of government.
According to many Party apparatchiks, Newsflashafrica.com spoke to, Dr. Bawumia must settle on a person with vision transformational mindset and an unblemished track record.
According to the Party people the aforementioned qualities are synonymous to no other person than Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Member of Parliament for Bosomtwi whom many have considered as doing wonders in the Education Sector as Minister.
His sterling performance as Deputy Education Minister endeared him the appointment as a substantive Minister by President Akufo Addo.
Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum undoubtedly has become a cynosure in the Ghanaian political microcosm owing to his transformational agenda coupled with his reforms that make Ghana’s education sector for that matter the schools competitive to any school in the world.
Even though some names have been bandied around as potential running Mates , it is widely believed that Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum may catch the eye of Dr. Bawumia because of his better appreciation of the political intricacies of the country especially the Socio- Educational sector.
One Elderly NPP Fanatic once said “this man makes education look so easy “ apparently referring to the Education Minister and crediting him for his strong grasp and appreciation of the sector and how effective and effortless he communicates the sector to the comprehension of the ordinary people.
With the 2024 elections gathering momentum, one of the areas that would change the game will be the Education sector. This is because the sector has witnessed massive development in a manner never witnessed in the country’s history. Therefore it would be strategic for Dr. Bawumia to settle on the man many have described as workaholic who is pushing Ghana’s education to an apogee.
“This is a man who for few years has transformed our educational sector and winning the hearts of both NDC and NPP People. Dr. Bawumia and Adutwum will be the best pair to counter and defeat John Mahama”, John Kwabi aka Aduleee of Okai Kwei North NPP stressed.
Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum ‘s vision for the education sector and his avowed commitment to do anything possible to place Ghana’s education on a level pegging with education in Europe and US using G-Step and STEMnovation is heartwarming.
A Minister who is the architect of an ongoing reforms at the sector can not be pigeonholed.
One of his plans which is to hire facility managers for Junior and Senior High Schools (SHS) in order to maintain the sschools is something that is commendable. His insatiable quest to introduce courses in aerobatics, aviation, and aerospace programmes in some 13 SHS this year is an initiative that has triggered conversations amongst pupils and parents who believe the program will position their kids and prepare them for the job market even whilst in school.
He aims to collaborate with a private company to commercialise students’ inventions whilst also injecting a revolution in the education sector, with a focus of increasing science enrollment with a target of 60/40 science to humanities.
Indowu Koyenikan once said “Success comes from the inside out. In order to change what is on the outside, you must first change what is on the inside”.
It is glaringly clear that Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has been able to change “the inside through his educational reforms and therefore deserves an opportunity to change “the outside”, drawing inspiration from the saying that “one good turn deserves another”.
