Ghanaian Singa-thon sensation Afua Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum’s record breaking singathon is expected to enter late Sunday due to her frequent breaks or pauses during singing.
Per the rules Afua is supposed to sing for four continuous hours and pause for 20 minutes or sing continuously for one hour and pause for 5 minutes but she is doing more breaks than the stipulated standard breaks.
A member of the Guinness Singa-thon jury told senaradioonline.com ‘s Editor Efo Mawugbe that due to the frequent breaks, Efua is supposed to cover all the time lost as a result of the breaks.
She revealed that Efua, per the time scored so far, singing into late Sunday is unavoidable.
Meanwhile celebrities have been throbbing the Akwaaba Village where the Singa-thon is being held to rally support for Afua.
On Sunday, 28th 2023, Samini, Kidi, Don Little and Minister for Gender Hajia Lariba stormed the VIP perimeter of the Singathon and threw their support to her whilst singing along the songs being performed by Afua and dancing.
Afia Papabi of Original TV and other media pundits have since Monday the 23rd of December been at the Akeaaba Village supporting her.
