Zoomlion Sweepers Receiving gh250 salary Protest Over Unpaid Salary for 1 Year… Rain Curses on the Company

Zoomlion workers in the Ashanti region have protested over their unpaid salary for a year.

The Sweepers, mostly elderly Women and widows whose salary is a paltry gh250 have acxuses the company of being insensitive to their plights .

Numbering about fifty (50) , the highly agitated workers who stormed Kessben fms premises on Saturday to press home their demand, claim that Zoomlion anytime they demand their money, the company has been telling them that YEA which is the funding agency , has not paid them(Zoomlion).

The aggrieved workers of Zoomlion ghana limited.

However the workers said YEA also told them, they have paid Zoomlion and that they (YEA) can not understand why they have not been paid for a year.

One of the aggrieved workers revealed that one of their colleagues, not too long ago was sweeping at down and was knocked down by a vehicle and she died.

“The old woman died and left her unpaid salary”, one of the workers stressed.

The workers are threatening not only to lay their tools down but curse the company and management for the excruciating suffering they made them go through.

This is not the first time Zoomlion, a subsidiary of the Jospong Group of Companies is being accused of taking their sweepers for granted in terms of low salary and salary in arrears.

2 years ago, a member of Church of Pentecost penned down an emotional epistle chronicling how widows and elderly women of the church working for the company received as low as gh 200.00 as salary.
