Contrary to speculations that the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Rev. Dr. Ammyshaddai Owusu -Amoah has fled the country with his family, Newsflashafrica.com can authoritatively report that the allegations are untrue as he has been spotted at the Ring Road office of the GRA on official visit.

The Commissioner-General, Rev. Ammyshaddai Owusu-Amoah speaking to the media

The Commissioner -General, according to the MP for North Tongu[ Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa] traveled out of the country with his family owing to the auditing of what has been described as the GRA/SML Contract.

But Rev. Dr. Ammyshaddai who was on Thursday afternoon spotted at the Ring Road office on official working visit, has debunked such allegations insisting he has not absconded and that he is in the  country and working as expected of him as GRA boss.

“There is no cause to run away so nobody should even think that I’ve run away. As you can see I’m here working to push taxes”, the Commissioner-General emphasized.

The GRA Boss therefore denied the allegations whilst remaining tight lipped on the current state of the contract as being audited by KPMG.

With this latest development, it puts to rest the allegations by Mr Ablakwa who claimed that the GRA boss left Ghana with the assistance of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

Meanwhile, the agreement is currently being audited by accounting and auditing firm KPMG on the instruction of the president.
The GRA/SML Contract is a collaboration between the GRA and the Strategic Mobilization Limited(SML) where SML is entitled to $100 million per annum after executing it’s part of the contract agreement.
