Akufo Addo Extends the Tenure of Auditor General by 2 years

President Akufo Addo has extended the tenure of the Auditor General Mr. Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu by 2 years as he hits his statutory retirement.

This extension means the Auditor General is to stay on until 2026 barring any dynamics in the December elections.

Meanwhile many are raising concerns about the extension of Mr. Akuamoah’s tenure by the President as opposed to the swift with which the same President axed Mr. Daniel Domelevo even when his statutory retirement was not due.
