Leader of Movement for Change Mr. Alan Kyeremanten has disclosed that he will abolish the Council of state and replace it with a second chamber (Parliament)

He said the second Chamber will be made up of faith based organizations, Professionals, Artisans and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs.)

Former Trade Minister was speaking at the unveiling of the Great Transformational Plan (GTP) in Accra on Monday.

Even though the Former Trade Minister did not state his reason to abolish the council of state, he revealed that the second chamber would add more value to the governance system of the country than the prevailing circumstance.

Mr. Kyeremanten who revealed six thematic areas of his GTP which include Enterprise Economy of Ghana said the Enterprise Economy of Ghana is what would catapult Ghana into economic freedom.

Some of his policies are introducing lean unity government of 40 Ministers and scrapping of sole sourcing which he said is an Avenue for corruption.

He later blamed the current economic mismanagement to bad policies of the Akufo Addo/Bawumia government .

He explained that the value of governance is to make good policies adding that the policies will automatically bring in monies where there would be no need for borrowing.

“The level of corruption alone can turn around the country if we do the right thing.

You need to demonstrate a leadership of personal integrity and political will. You need to deal with people who are corrupt around you.

It is not enough to say I’m not corrupt but the people who surround you are corrupt”, the leader of Movement for Change emphasized.
