2024 Elections: We Will Advise Our Members Accordingly if the LGBTQ Bill is not Accented into Law- Catholic Bishop Conference

The Secretary General of the Catholic Bishops Conference Rev. Father Clement Kwesi Adjei has stated that the Catholic Church will advise its members to vote against the NPP in the 2024 elections should President Akufo Addo refuse to accent to the LGBTQ Bill.

According to him, the Church has stated its position clearly that it is against the LGBTQ and that any action by institution and government that encourages the practice is going to be resisted fiercely by the church.

“”If the President fails to accent it into law we will advise our members.

Our members are everywhere in the villages so we are going advise them accordingly”, Rev. Father Adjei fumed.

The Secretary General who was speaking in an interview on Joy News however said however indicated that they don’t have a problem should the custodial sentence in the law is re-looked at since Practitioners of LGBTQ are not enemies of the Church but “friends who need to be reformed”.
