Maintaining peace during after elections 2024 has been described as a pre- requisite for democratic dispensation.
As it’s in the popular saying “a country without peace is akin to a freedom in war”.
It is against this background that TUDEC is determined to collaborate with the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Online news portals and Bloggers in championing peace and diversity in the country Prior to after the 2024 elections.
This was made known when the President of TUDEC , Mr. Cafer Tepeli and TUDEC Project Manager Mr. Mehmet Simsek met the GJA President, Mr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, in Accra on Friday (April 26, 2024).
Also at the meeting was the President of New Media Association of Ghana, Eugene Osarfo Nkansah and Editor of NewsFlashAfrica.com, Mr. Michael Petit Mawugbe (Efo Mawugbe ).
TUDEC, which is a Turkish Civil Society Organization (CSO) based in Ghana according to itd President is committed to partnering with the GJA in creating a platform for dialogue for social development as well as interfaith and political dialogue aimed at ensuring peace in the country.
The GJA President on his part welcomed the proposal and said the GJA is ever ready to support any initiative that is development centered.
He said peace is an indispensable element in our socio-economic development hence his support for peace building.
Efo Mawugbe and Eugene Osarfo Nkansah also assured TUDEC of their commitment to use their platforms to support activities of TUDEC.
