NIA, NHIA to Begin Registration of Children Aged 6and 14 in October
The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced its preparedness to begin the registration of children aged 6 and 14years.
The registration exercise which is in collaboration with the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) is to collect data and ensure quality health care delivery in the country.
At a Stakeholder’s engagement in Accra on Thursday (September 26, 2024), the Head, Administration and Human Resource Directorate, Jay Awuah Peasah explained that the registration is aimed at registering the aforementioned children to enable them benefit from the health insurance scheme.
He said the NIA stands ready and prepared to ensure that the exercise achieves its desired objectives.
A Corporate Affairs Officer at NIA Mrs. Ekubah Quartey revealed the Authority is going intensify media awareness creation in order to get a lot of children registered.
