Award winning Rapper Manifest has expressed worry over the music Industry ‘s inability to support musicians.
The dododotido hitmaker who was speaking in an interview with AJ Sarpong on TV3 on Friday stressed that the music industry is uninspiring to musicians especially the up and coming ones.
“The industry is not organized. Makola is more organized than the music industry.
Sometimes when I say this people think it’s disrespectful but that’s the fact”, Manifest emphasized.
He later revealed that he has not received any royalty after 10 years of doing music in Ghana , a situation he described as shocking
According to him, the situation is totally different in other jurisdictions such as the US where he said musicians receive what is due them in a form of royalties.
In his view, the music industry can do better than what it is now.
