Chief Imam Offers Prayers for PNC Flagbearer Bernard Mornah

The Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu has offered prayers for the the PNC Flagbearer, Bernard Anbaayatela Mornah calling on Allah to protect and guide him in his presidential ambition.

The Chief Imam who spoke through his Interpreter, Sheikh Armeyaw Shaibu said he acknowledges the activism of the PNC Flagbearer saying he appreciates the policies of Bernard Mornah.

This came to light when the PNC Flagbearer paid a courtesy call on the Chief Imam to introduce the PNC new leadership to him.

The Chief Imam also advised the PNC Flagbearer to do a lot of alms giving since alms giving results in prayers being answered.

He later blessed him and wished him well.

On his part, the Flagbearer of the PNC, Mr. Bernard Anbaayatela Mornah explained that the Chief Imam is an embodiment of peace and spiritual father of the nation hence their motivation to come introduce the new leadership to him.

“If we come to the Chief Imam, we don’t only come to a human being but the spirit of the nation”, Mr.Mornah stressed.

He touted Chief Imam’s visits to churches and lepers, describing him as tolerant and a unifier.

Mr. Mornah later drew the attention of the Chief Imam on the conduct of the Electoral Commissioner and his disqualification and appealed to him to speak out against tendencies that can plunge the country into chaos.

“When a political party chooses its leader its not a small feat then it takes the EC to disqualify him.

Such violence being meted on the PNC can be violence on the nation”, the PNC Flagbearer fumed.

“Because violence can topple the government PNC is always for peace”, he added.

He therefore called on the Chief Imam to join forces to call the EC boss, Jean Mensa to order to avert any disturbances ahead of the elections.

Mr. Mornah also seized the opportunity to reiterate to the Chief Imam his Indigenous language policy which is his flagship policy saying Twi and Hausa would be our national language whilst English and French would be optional.

The PNC Leader, accompanied by the Chairman, Samson Asaki Awingobit, General Secretary Awudu Ishak, Youth Organizer Mark Ewusi Arko among others later presented undisclosed cash amounts to the Chief Imam as well as bags of rice and dozens of bottled water.
