Armah Kofi Buah’s statement in Parliament Exposes Rebecca Akufo Addo’s Arrogance
Deputy Minority Leader, Hon. Armah Kofi Buah’s statement on the floor of Parliament on Friday has exposed first lady Rebecca Akufo Addo’s arrogance.
The MP for Ellembelle, shortly after President Akufo Addo delivered the State of the Nation Address described him as the worst president in the history of the fourth Republic.
This statement plus others made by the Deputy Minority Leader infuriated the first lady who is said to have confronted the Deputy minority leader amid snubbing the presidential lunch organized by the Speaker.
In a video circulating on social media, the first lady is seen soliloquying in the Ga language saying “Nyaaa” meaning I’m not attending”.
Many have described her action as unbecoming of a first lady, having held the position for 8 years.
But many have been talking about the statement that cause Auntie Becky to go berserk in that manner.
Below is the statement of Armah Kofi Buah.
Mr..Speaker I need to remind you that the people of Ghana have already given their verdict of the state of the nation. And that verdict is very clear
Economic hardship, huge debt overhung, high youth unemployment, hopelessness and more.
We have come to the end of the road for what undoubtedly is the worst government under the fourth republic.
Rt Hon. Speaker this abysmal record was confirmed on December 7th when the people of Ghana returned the most overwhelming and emphatic vote of rejection of any government ever witnessed in the fourth republic.
Mr. President, you will be remembered as the first president who was cushioned by the IMF and still being cushioned at the end of your term.
MrM.President you left a very important in your account. You left an account of your promise to God of building him a cathedral, but Mr. President I will leave that between you and your God.
Mr Speaker, let me remind the President of that his tenure in office reminds us of how not to govern the country.
But let me also be quick to assure the good people of Ghana that hope is on that way coming. In President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC they can once again gleen a better future from the thrones of despair.
Together we will work hard to lift ourselves from this historic low and reclaim our place in Afroca once again.
Fellow Ghanaians we are comforted and strengthened by the following scripture.
And I’m quoting exodus chapter 14 :13 and I quote “And Moses said unto the people fear you not and stand still and see the salvation of the Lord which you shall see today for the Egyptians you see today, you shall see them no more.
Bye bye Mr. President, It is finished.
