REVEALED: Haruna Iddrisu, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, Okudzeto Ablakwa, Bawa Mogtare Make it to Mahama’s Cabinet

Following the announcement of President Mahama’s first batch of Ministers , Newsflashafrica.com can authoritatively report that Haruna Iddrisu, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, Okudzeto Ablakwa , Bawa Mogtare have made it to the Cabinet of President Mahama barring any last minute changes.

President Mahama, last week named the MP for Ajumako Enyan Essiam Dr. Casiel Ato Forson as Minister of Finance designate, the MP for Yapei Kusawgu, Hon John Jinapor as Energy Minister designate and MP for Bolgatanga East, Dr. Dominic Ayine as Attorney General.

sources close to the Presidency has hinted that in the coming days, President Mahama will be announcing his next batch of Ministers to compliment the ministries he has cut from 30 to 23.

The list according to our sources include former Minority leader and MP for Tamale South Hon. Haruna Iddrisu who has been penciled for Defence, a Ministry that was earlier rumored to go to Prof. Joshua Alabi.

Prof Joshua Alabi, was before the announcement of the first batch of the Ministers tipped for the aforementioned Ministry due to his statesmanship figure and contributions to the campaign as Chairman of the Campaign.
But with the turn of events, it is not clear where the respected professor would be assigned even though many party bigwigs are worried that his name has not featured prominently in the appointments being bandied about.

Next on the list is Mr. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, a man the the grassroot describe as the last man standing due to his good human relationship with the masses.

Per our sources, the President is assigning Mr. Afriyie Ankrah to the Local government and Decentralization. It was earlier rumored that Oppong Fosu had been tipped for that Ministry but judging the works of Elvis Afriyie Ankrah as former Deputy Local Government Minister, and his contributions to the campaign, his appointment to that ministry does not come as a surprise given his workaholic nature and how accessible to the grass root.

Information is also rife that President Mahama is set to return Nana Oye Bampoe Addo and Nii Lante Vanderpuye to the Ministries of Gender, Children and Social Protection and Sports respectively due to their expertise  and experience in those ministries.

Also on the list is ever loyal Joyce Bawa Mogtare who has been penciled for the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
JB as she is affectionately called by her peers has been the Spokesperson for the President whilst in Opposition so it is believed that she may have strong grasp of President Mahama’s foreign policy hence the decision to send her to the foreign ministry.

Our sources confirm to us that the man who has become the “star boy” in Ghana currently due to his back to back expose of corrupt NPP Officials Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is likely to be rewarded with full Minister at the Education Ministry, having served as deputy Minister in the erstwhile Mahama administration

He was earlier rumored to be the Foreign Affairs Minister due to his impressive works as the ranking member on Foreign Affairs Committee in Parliament.
